For an overview on general copyright and encouraging compliance with the CLA HE photocopying & Scanning Licence. For your Blackboard modules we will cover: Using the licence to add digital book and journal extracts to your course documents folder; linking to LIS electronic resources and finding suitable images and maps. For printed extracts: using the Photex collection in LIS.

e-Learning and cakes with tablets!

The next e-Learning and cakes is on Thursday 27th January from 11-12 in the Seminar Room on the 7th Floor of the Library building. e-Learning and cakes is an informal gathering of anyone interested in the use of technology in learning & teaching. An opportunity to find out what's going on in the University, share what you're doing or just find out a bit more about learning technology - and cakes.

This time, as well as cakes, there will be an opportunity to get hands on with some tablet devices and see how they might be used in teaching and learning. Just come along any time between 11 and 12.

Information:RSC Wales is back on the road in 2011 bringing a series of free, cross-sectoral, hands-on 'roadshows' to a venue near you. We will be covering a number of themes including collaboration, partnership working and infrastructure. Our objective is to bring people together to focus in a practical way on how technology can support educators to address the issues associated with these themes. Our roadshows aim to provide an enjoyable and effective experience that will benefit learners, staff and the organisation in a variety of ways.
