Event: What has blogging got to do with learning and teaching?

Blogs? Blogging? RSS? You may well have heard of these and sometimes it may seem, to paraphrase Bill Clinton, that even my dog has a blog. You may be asking ‘how do they actually work and what use might they have in higher education?’ The next Lunch & Learn session, as well as providing you with get a free lunch, will look at these questions and show some examples of blogs & blogging being used here at Swansea.

Generally cannot make Friday lunchtimes but am very interested in learning more. Have had an "intro" session with Paul Latreille that was very useful and now keen to add to my knowledge. Do I have to keep an eye on this site or is there a central location with all the events?

Thanks for the comment Deb. The 'What's On' page of the Learning Lab http://learninglab.swan.ac.uk/whatson.html has details of training, meetings conferences etc and you can subscribe via the RSS feed. The Learning Lab is designed to be the place to find out about and discuss e-learning here at Swansea. There are also the coffee and cakes sessions - the next one is on Friday (I'm afraid)11th November at 11am in Room 703 in the library.
